Mogu’shan Vaults Heroic: The Stone Guard

October 12th, 2012

Earlier today, YOGS achieved a world ranking of 544th by successfully killing The Stone Guard on heroic difficulty – the first of many heroic bosses that we’ll be killing during this new raiding tier.

It was a very interesting fight that’s sadly made a million times more easier if you only bring ranged DPS. Sorry Panty, but i speak for everyone here in saying that we absolutely fucking hated being paired up to you with Jasper Chains (get out).

Progress on Heroic Feng the Accursed is well underway and we should hopefully have it killed really soon…

Mogu’shan Vaults: Will of the Emperor

October 8th, 2012

It’s been a late raiding night tonight but i’m pleased to announce that YOGS have successfully cleared all six normal-mode bosses within the the new MOP raiding dungeon – Mogu’shan Vaults.

It makes me cringe slightly to have to say this, but all credit for our Will of the Emperor kill must go to Thalden, who’s quick thinking managed to save us from a 1% wipe by single-handily finishing off the boss with a 500k ‘Touch of Death‘ hit. Thalden my friend, ignore all of the haters – i now regard you as a slightly better player than Cups, congratulations pal.

Anyway, we’ve all thoroughly enjoyed the start to this brand new raiding tier and are extremely excited and looking forward to starting our Heroic progression on Wednesday.

In the meantime, we’re also pleased to announce that we’re now currently ranked as follows:-

– Ranked 1st Alliance Guild on Realm.
– Ranked 2nd Guild on Realm.
– Ranked 378th Guild in Europe.
– Ranked 525th Guild in the World.

And So It Begins…

October 4th, 2012

Mogu’shan Vaults, the first of three new raiding dungeons officially opened yesterday and YOGS were all over that shit like Amy Winehouse Sho on crack.

We finished the first evening off with 4 bosses successfully buried deep within the ground (using Sogai’s extensive knowledge of digging holes) and we’re all eagerly looking forward to finishing off the remaining 2 bosses later tonight.

More importantly though, recruitment for our circle-jerk raiding team is still open for 1 or 2 players of any class or spec. So, if you consider yourself pretty good at face-smashing your keyboard to achieve big numbers, avoiding nasty shit on the floor the same way people avoid Thaldens mom at the club, and if you’ve got a great sense of humour, then feel free to make an application on the forums or speak to one of our officers.

Recruiting for MoP

May 7th, 2012

Having spent the weekend at Ryanna’s wedding, we’ve decided to re-open recruitment for a couple of classes in preparation for the upcoming expansion.

So, if you’re not retarded and have a good sense of humour, feel free to check out our recruitment needs in the side bar and make sure you’ve read (and understood) everything on our ‘Joining’ page. Whilst we’re only looking for a couple of classes right now, additional spots may still open up closer to the expansions release, so keep checking back here for further information and new updates.

As always, if you are exceptionally good at pushing buttons, feel free to apply even if your class/spec isn’t listed.

I Can’t Hear You Over How Awesome ‘We’ Are

April 19th, 2012

With Heroic Dragon Soul now on farm, we’ve started to mop-up some of our missing raid and guild achievements.

Well done goons for getting this Sinestra achievement done with minimal effort, which also netted us a respectful realm ranking of 4th and a world ranking of 436th. Special mention must also go to Elanu, who somehow managed to die one week by not standing inside the protective bubble at the end phase 1.

Also, regardless of what Guildox may say, YOGS are clearly better than GROM!

Dragon Soul Heroic: Madness of Deathwing

March 30th, 2012

Thanks Blizzard, i personally love to spend 9 minutes trying to kill a boss only to have people ‘Starkey’ continually glitch out and fall off while trying to jump to the 4th platform. Nonetheless, we’ve now finally cleared all bosses within the Dragon Soul raid on Heroic difficulty, ultimately finishing 1682nd in the world and 912th in Europe on WoW Progress.

We’ve all thoroughly enjoyed the final raiding tier of ‘Cataclysm’ (despite the end boss being surprising easy) and we’re all eagerly awaiting the new raiding content for ‘Mists of Pandaria’ (where we’ll most likely race change to Pandas for furry role playing purposes only).

Recruitment for MoP raiding will remain closed for the time being while we all chill out for a bit with alt runs and numerous achievement runs (we’re all trying so hard to overtake Ryanna on points). Rest assured though that as we draw closer to beta testing the new raiding content for MoP, we’ll review our raiding requirements and update the front page accordingly.

Dragon Soul Heroic: Spine of Deathwing

March 27th, 2012

Good job goons, we spent 4 agonising weeks on a heroic boss just for the 10 point achievement that says we successfully killed trash on Deathwings back.

Our two top tips for people still doing this fight would be never to ‘Shadow Step’ an Amalgamation as it’s falling off Deathwings back and also to never equip a ‘Bone-Link Fetish’ trinket when you’re trying to kill bloods in a controlled manner.

Thalden took a video of it.

Dragon Soul Heroic: Warmaster Blackhorn

February 24th, 2012

Literally the worst HC fight so far and proves Blizzard really fucking hate melee DPS. Nonetheless, ‘Team Ranged’ (and Quotey) ended up carrying us through this kill, so good job pals.

(brb, re-rolling to spriest)

The Importance of RP Oranges

February 21st, 2012

Congratulations to Niata for acquiring the guilds first set of legendary daggers. We’re now all praying that he doesn’t also get hit by the ‘Legendary Bus’ which has recently claimed the lives of both Yrael and Zandmann.

Dragon Soul Heroic: Hagara the Stormbinder

February 16th, 2012

Bless Spurgin’s little cotton socks – no matter how many times he tried to explain the ranged DPS priority for the Frost Phase crystals, someone always manages to fuck it up by DPS’ing the wrong crystal.
